There are 6 pathshala classes and a Yoga class - every Sunday from 10:30 am to noon, at temple location.

1. Kindergarden - Very young children - 3 to 6 years - Teacher Ushma Bavishi

• Namokar mantra, understanding of Jain Alphabets, coloring of religious items, Religious stories, ...etc. Emphasis placed on teaching with playing games. We follow JAINA pathshala book one.

2. Elementary Grade - Up to age 9 - Teacher Varsha Shah

• Learning prayers and their meanings- Mangalik, Saraswati mantra, three mantra mala, etc. Getting familiar with the Jain terminologies -Kashayas, 8 Karmas, types of knowledge, etc. through games. Learning the lives of different saints/bhagwans and enacting plays -Lord Mahavir,Lord Shantinath Bhagwan, Shrimad Rajchandra, Gautamswami, Shravan, etc. The teaching material on different saints/bhagwans was provided by Shrimad Rajchandra Magic Touch Education Trust. The curriculum emphasis is on putting into practice the Jain principles into day-to-day life.

3. Middle Grade - Up to age 12 - Teacher Mahendra Shah

• House holder/Monk Vows, Six dravya, Nine tatva, Karma theory, Types of pennance, Kashay, ...etc. Emphasis placed on discussion and debate while learning the subject. We follow JAINA pathshala book three.

4. High Grade - Up to age 16 - Teacher Piyush Shah

• Six dravya, Nine tatva, Karma theory, Jain Way Of Living (JWOL), Jain Scriptures, ...etc. Emphasis placed on discussion on current topic/situation from Jain religion viewpoint. As a special project, we do comparative religion studies. We also do three-step Nishkriya meditation at the end of the class. We follow JAINA pathshala book four.

5. College Grade - Up to age 24 - Teacher Dilip Bobra - occasional

• Jain Way Of Living (JWOL). Emphasis placed on discussion on current topic/situation from Jain religion viewpoint. Visit to ASU and other university to talk on Jain principles, give presentation.

6. Adult Grade - All adults - Teacher Kirit Gosalia

• We follow Jain Siddhant Praveshika book. We go in detail about philosophical aspects of Jainism. Medium of presentation is Gujarati, Hindi and English. Emphasis is made on how to incorporate the spirituality in day to day life. Our students are 25 to 85 years of age. Every Mahavir Jayanti program adult swadhyay group presents the stage show along with children's program.

Yoga - Teacher Bhakti Gosalia

• Listen to tape and follow the teacher.

We teach children about Jain Principles in a participative learning environment which is fun too. Learning religion at an early age provides a foundation for moral values which will stay with them throughout their lifetimes. We encourage everyone to attend the Pathshala classes..
